Can i have CSGO ingame resolution at 1024x768 stretch
but get the recording at 1920x1080? If you get what i'm saying

My settings are set so the screen is stretched at 1024x768 ingame (without the black bars because it's stretched out)

But i want to record at that resolution (1024x768 stretched)
And have the recording to be at 1920x1080

Anyone that can help?
If OBS can't do it, maybe you know some other good recording programs that can help, let me know :)

What's the point of that? Your resolution for the game is 1024x768, so either use that as base resolution or the resolution after it's stretched to 16:9.
Or just get used to playing CSGO at 1920x1080.

What do you mean what's the point?
Me, and alot of other people play alot better at 1024x768 stretched, the problem is it just dosent look that great, obviously
I asked if there is a way to have the recordings as 1920x1080, even tho my ingame resolution is 1024x768 stretched.

If i were to put my recordings up on youtube, i at leas want them to look smooth, not all "zoomed in"
Sorry you don't get the point, i tried to explain myself as good as possible

I asked what the point is of upscaling to 1920x1080 from 1024x768 (or rather it's stretched to 16:9 resolution). It's gonna make the image worse.

Well no matter what you do with the footage it'll look zoomed in if you're recording 1024x768, to answer your question though: You simply make your base resolution in OBS 1920x1080 and stretch the gameplay capture to fit (right click on the game capture source and select fit to screen or press control + F).

To address Osiris's question, the bit-rate that your video plays at on youtube depends on the resolution you give it, so upscaling resolution is quite advantageous before uploading to youtube.

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

To rephrase, no, there is no way to play at 1024x768, and record as if the game was being played at 1080p. OBS doesn't reach into the game and re-render the frames, it just takes whatever the game renders out. What you see is what you get. You can record at 1080p, but it will still be 1024x768 stretched out, and will not be better resolution.

Stretched mode makes it easier to aim because enemies are visually wider than they should be. It's accepted by the competitive community, but still seems kind of scrubby.
