Hello, i recently bought a new pc and wanted to start streaming.Tho i run into few problems while doing it.Couldnt find much help by googling so here iam.
My rig is
i7-6700k@stock 4-4.2ghz
g.skill value 2x8gb 2400 15cl
gtx 960 4gb gigabyte 2xWF OC
LG 24gm77 running at 144hz
Win10
My OBS settings are basics with 3500 ratio 60 fps 1920:1080

1st thing is not really related to OBS but you guys will prolly know the solution. When i alt tab from the game ( dota2 for example ) my fps drops to like 40 from 150.Is it something like sleep mode on my gtx 960 or something? When i alt tab back to the game it instantly jumps to 150.I dont really need to change the window, alt tab menu is enough to make the drop.
2nd is the moment i alt-tab, i see on another pc that my stream start to load ( after streaming delay )- like OBS stops streaming for a moment and starts again. Can i work that around? Cause for now i dont have place for another monitor to not alt-tab ;d
3rd is after some time of streaming my fps in dota2 droped like 10%, no idea what caused that.( my temps etc are stable around 60C )
4th is not so important since i wont record with OBS, but when i'v started recording OBS shows a lot of dropped frames.

dropped frames are due to streaming to high. downscale in video tab to 720p. this will make it easily view-able with good quality. from there, post a link to your logfile from the help menu and paste the link here.

yeah i had the downscale done forgot bout it.
tho i dont frop frames when i stream like this ( in obs atleast ), i start droping frames in OBS when i start recording.

Most of your issue is in the video thread frame (GPU) this can be remedied by lowering your webcam resolution to 720p as well AND closing your browser that is running your stream. don't watch streams from your streaming/gaming PC. use a popout chat if you need the twitch chat.

hm i run Intel burner test today with OBS and dota 2 open, and my video card stopped working, i recived some error in obs bout using x264.Could it be its some driver problem or even my gpu problem?

iv installed older drivers. Could someone check if its fine twitch.tv/kookyb ?
Post your logfile after done.

intel burnin test should be run solo not with OBS and dota.

IBT will fully heat up your GPU and RAM and when other apps are open, it can't fully stress components.

as for your video card stopped working. I would use DDU in safemode to wipe your nvidia driver then install a stable one. current game ready drivers with nvidia I've heard are not stable for all.

your monitor, LG 24gm77 have g-sync, try disabling g-sync / freesync in graphics control panel and see if that fixes alt+tab massive slowdown?

intelBurnTest can stress test CPU and CPU's RAM. FurMark can stress test GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). May use HWMonitor together with either OBS + game, or one of stress test. Make sure important temperatures is not too high, and that CPU's MHz don't go down with over 50% CPU usage.

well in IBT my temps hit around 77C max, while i play its around 64C.Stable 4kmhz all the time( tho it does not turboobost in dota ).Fps is ~150 , drops to 125-130 in big fights. But after some time the numbers drop more to around 120 in big fights and 135-140 normal no idea why.
Gpu usage is 98% all the time 65C.
I dont think my monitor got a g-sync mate

this is rly insane, i got those drops after like 20 mins of gameplay, tho restart of the game helps sometimes

well it only happens while streaming. When iam playing after pc restart without running obs its stable 150+ fps so definitely something in obs settings or maybe cpu?it doesnt turboboost in dota2 thats what wonders me , cause if it had not enough power while running obs and dota it should boost, but it doesnt.Tho it boosts when iam doing some other stuff like running a lot of chrome winamps etc so i know its working.

Streaming uses all cores and stresses components.

http://ark.intel.com/products/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz

your max IHS temps should be 64C before you throttle. temps are your issue. a 14nm CPU should never run this hot. you have a heat issue IMO. reapply thermal paste. make sure the clear plastic film isn't still sitting on the heatsink.

Other thoughts:
1. Lower webcam resolution to 1280x720
2. change MSAA to 2x in game, no visible reason higher for a 720p stream.

hm ill reaply paste in second, plastic isnt there for sure.Could it be that my cryorig c1 is fucked up? cause this is actually 2nd CPU cause they replaced the old one, and he had the same temps.

That is a generic intel/amd compat plate but there was some issues with Skylake as they were ever so slighly thinner than the previous CPUs even though the same mounting bracket. this made them slightly lose on contact. check some research but I wouldn't doubt that is your bottom issue.

still didnt fix this thing. My cpu is working correctly, temperatures are good, gpu is working all fine.
Maybe its my net? i got 100mb dl /6mb upl . 3500 bitrate is fine on this right? And still after like 20 min streaming iam starting to lose fps in game

define temps are good

Code:
 temps hit around 77C max

Code:
max TCASE 64°C

Does the game run better without webcam, or with a reduced webcam resolution? Show us more recent OBS logs.

About CPU temperatures:
As for temperatures, there is a difference between Tcase and Tjunction. Most temperature monitoring including HWMonitor shows CPU's chip temperatures, but not heat spreader temperature. it may show CPU socket temperature on motherboard. Laptop mobile intel CPU specs shows Tjunction max as high as 100 C as mobile CPU don't have heatspreader.

max temps while gaming are 65C on cpu, 64C on gpu.Cpu distance to TJMAX minimum 43C.
gpu is 99% usage in cs .in dota its from 85%-99%.Power is around 55-60% , 1367mhz - not overclocked.
cpu usage in cs while streaming is around 55%
I'v already tried plugging out the webcam, didnt change anything.Tried lowering fps,ratio- nothing changes
I even tried xsplit, the same thing happens tho a bit smaller fps drop and smaller stutter.
Could it be gpu drivers or windows 10 ?

Cause it doesnt look like hardware related ( i was thinking bout some bad gpu or cpu/cpu cooler,) but even when i hit the stream basicly numbers in my OSD doesnt change, everything seem to work properly on hardware side.

And guys, its not like stutter is big.Basicly the game runs fine, tho i feel the fps drop cause its around 10-15%.
The stuttering happens for example when i fast switch weapons in counterstrike, like mashing 121212122113123123 and when i see the weapon animation it jumps for a second.
Dont know what else i could try.Maybe older nvidia drivers cause those new ones seems to be broken.

Do look at GPU-Z and make sure graphic card is running at PCI-E version 2.0 or higher, at x16 (16 lanes), is it?

To have no performance hit, go with 2 pc, one gaming, the other streaming with capture card. Streaming PC may need fast CPU, but can be any cheap compatible graphics card or integrated graphics.

PCI-E 3.0x16 @x16 1.1

Buying another pc isnt really a solution my friend...not mentioning that this rig is pretty fresh and strong.
