Question / Help Roland Visual Mixer and OBS question

Dear All,

I may be off-topic, but I need help. I am visual operator in our church using Roland V8 visual mixer. With vga converter to USB to laptop, I can send laptop monitor to the LCD projector screen. Sometimes, I use black background with text to chroma key so that I can have overlay current video cam with text. The problem is that I have to create jpg black background with text using Paint windows. Does this OBS can help me place running text or static text overlay with video cam scene using chroma key of Roland V8? Note: I apply "duplicate" mode and fullscreen.

why not use a black background (image overlay) then a text overlay on top? literally the sources on top show up in front of other sources.
