Hi,

I am trying to set up my OBS so that I can get at least 720p videos but 1080p would be nice. I have posted a thread of my PC specs here so if you could check that out.

I know I have a reply with a link to getting good quality videos however on using the settings, it caused my recording software have some of the screen get cut off so i could not see part of the bottom of the gameplay during recording. However, when I look in the preview it looks fine and nothing is cut off. I have tried making the resolution bigger and that got rid of the screen being cut off but this then caused the image to go all weird at random times but soon after it would go back to normal, this happens multiple times during the whole video.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks

you are using monitor capture witha 1920x1080 monitor. your base resolution is 1920x1080. I dont see an issue here. might try rebuilding your monitor capture.

the only issue I see is your CPU is to slow to do x264. I would check out OBS Studios and use VCE hardware encoder for your local recording.

Also, if you are recording minecraft, try game capture instead or monitor capture and never run both at the same time.
