Hello,

I'm having trouble setting up a youtube stream using my equipment. I'd like to use the following:
1) Audio Technica AT2020
2) Two inputs for a guitar
3) Desktop sound (songs played in windows or DAW sessions from Cubase)
4) A logitech C270 webcam

The problem is: On windows, the interface doesn't allow me to select input channels, so the recording device shows UR44 but when I speak on the mic there's no input (I can still hear the mic using headphones connected to the interface, of course, but for all intents and purposes windows is not getting any sound from my mic). It's strange, I saw a video on youtube and the guy was able to select the input using "default format", but that's grayed out.
I've been searching unsuccessfully for a week now.

Thanks in advance!

your best bet is to use OBS studios https://obsproject.com/download#mp which allows separate audio input in sources. use this for each guitar input. regarding the mic set up the mic in settings under audio tab. also check for a push to talk hotkey under hotkey tab.

Also note that when you switch to OBS studios there is a different forum for that, but I will move yours over when you get it set up. You will have to do most of the leg work getting this up and running but I will help where I can..

Lastly, please and always, post a link to your logfile so I can see what is going on. make sure that logfile you trying what you can do stream.

It may be a good idea to reach out to Steinberg and ask about how to set up a channel downmix to stereo; OBS will just take what the device is providing. If it's an issue with the device itself, OBS can't do anything about that, and it's beyond the scope of OBS support.

I'd recommend against Studio though at present. It really needs more work, in several regards.

Thank you all for your gracious help, I'm using OBS studio right now but is there an alternative (free if possible)?
I'll get a log and post it, I'm sorry I didn't know this isn't the right forum...

Thanks!

I just figured the multi audio source would be nice but I get what you mean.

@marcosp make sure all your audio formats match in OBS, windows audio and your hardware. OBS's audio format is in the encoding tab.
