Rename-Proof Overlay Links
Overlay links are now permanent. When you open "Get Link" from the left sidebar, the generated URL carries a private overlay ID tied to your account instead of your channel name.
The result is a URL like:
Code:https://poltergeist.cc/overlay?channel=YOURTOKEN&platform=twitch&interp=true&lerp=0.5
This means the Browser Source in OBS keeps working no matter what happens to your username.
All existing username-based links keep working without any changes. Older URLs follow your channel name rather than your account, so copying a fresh link once from "Get Link" makes your setup fully rename-proof.
- Rename-Proof: Change your Twitch, Kick or YouTube username as often as you like. The link follows your account, so OBS never needs a new URL.
- Everything Else Unchanged: Layer checkboxes and the other options in the link generator work exactly the same with the new format, and mods can still copy the link for you.
Trigger Studio: Sub Timers, Chat Commands, Hype Trains & Sequences
Trigger Studio grew into a full automation layer. Run a subathon timer, fire overlay actions straight from chat, react to Hype Trains and stream status, chain assets into each other, and pace it all with cooldowns, chances, and delays.
- Sub Timer: Point a trigger at a countdown Timer and every sub, gift, or cheer extends the clock. Gifted subs add time once per sub (a 20-sub bomb counts 20 times), and bits can add time per chosen amount, like every 100 bits. Your subathon timer is ready.
- Chat Command events: Link any chat command you have to a trigger, with a permission gate from everyone up to mods only.
- Hype Train & Stream events: Trigger on Hype Train start, level-up, or end (Twitch), and on the stream going live or offline (Twitch & Kick).
- Assets that trigger assets: Timer Hits Zero, Goal Bar Completed, and Wheel Lands on Segment are events now, so a completed goal can spin a wheel and an ending subathon clock can fire its own finale.
- Five new actions: Start, pause, or reset Timers and Stopwatches, add to Counters, temporarily show or hide any element, drop segments onto a Wheel ({user} puts every gifter on it by name), or append To-Do items.
- Cooldown, Chance, Every Nth & Delay: Every trigger now takes a cooldown, a percentage dice roll, an every-2nd/3rd/10th counter, and a delayed start. Stack several triggers on one event with different delays to build a full sequence: sound now, confetti at 2 seconds, screen shake at 5.
Open Trigger Studio from the Properties Panel, pick an event, pick an action, and hit ▶ Test to watch it fire.
Drawing Tool: Adjustable Size, Staging, and Saved Strokes
The telestration pen is no longer a fixed-width line locked to the live area. Set the stroke width, sketch in the staging area before anything goes public, and keep your drawings when you push, swap, or save a scene. Strokes now move with your layout, and every one of them is validated on the server.
Flip on the pen, pick a size, and sketch. Anything you draw in preview stays hidden until you push it live.
- Adjustable stroke width: A size slider sets pen thickness from 1 to 50 px, and your choice is remembered between sessions.
- Draw in staging: The preview area is now a full drawing surface. Sketch there out of sight, then reveal it whenever you are ready.
- Push & Swap carry strokes: Drawings move between preview and live right alongside your elements, so a push or swap brings the whole scene, art included.
- Targeted clearing: Clear Live, Clear Preview, Clear Current Layer, or Clear All, each acting only on what you name.
- Saved with presets & scenes: Drawings are bundled into presets and scenes, so a saved look restores its strokes exactly where you left them.
Telestrate/Draw in any colour
The pen is no longer locked to green. Open the Tools panel, click the Colour swatch, and choose any colour from the full picker.
- The colour applies instantly, both on the dashboard and live on stream.
- Switch colours as often as you like. Each new stroke uses the latest pick, so it is easy to colour code plays, callouts, and reactions.
- Works for you and any trusted mods drawing over your stream.
Animate multiple elements at once
The Animate action now supports selecting more than one element. Hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) while clicking to pick multiple.
A new Playback option controls how they fire:
- Animate all selected together: every chosen element fires at the same time.
- Animate one at random: a single element from the selection plays each time the trigger fires.
Play multiple sounds (one at random)
The Play Sound action now supports selecting multiple sounds. Each time the trigger fires, one plays at random, so the same alert never gets stale. Hold Ctrl/Cmd to select more than one.
Cleaner element names
Element IDs are now shorter while staying unique, making it easier to find and pick the element you want.
Media Share Now Plays Twitch & Kick Clips
Media Share is no longer YouTube-only. Viewers can now spend Bits or redeem Channel Points to put Twitch and Kick clips on your screen, right alongside YouTube videos. Same queue, same approval flow, same cost-per-second controls. Paste the clip link and it just plays.
Viewers just type !play [link] with their Cheer, or paste the link straight into the Channel Point prompt.
- Twitch Clips: Drop any https://clips.twitch.tv or https://twitch.tv/.../clip/... link and it plays in the queue like any other request.
- Kick Clips: Kick clip links now work too, just link to https://kick.com/xxx/clips/...
- YouTube still works: Videos and Shorts are fully supported, with titles auto-fetched as before.
- Unified queue: Clips share the same pending, approve, and skip flow, so moderators manage everything from one panel.
- Your rules: Play length still follows your cost-per-second for Bits and your seconds-per-redeem for Channel Points.
Follow & Channel Point Alerts Go Fully Native
Follow alerts now run natively through the Poltergeist backend on both Twitch and Kick, with no external chat bot required. Detection happens automatically the moment someone follows, so tools like Botrix or StreamElements are no longer part of the setup. Channel point reward redemptions now drive alerts on Kick too, matching what has long been available on Twitch.
Anyone who set up follow or channel point alerts before this update should log out and back in once so the new permissions can be granted.
- No external bot: Follow alerts fire on their own. Set the follow message in the Event Alert Box and it just works.
- ️ No modding required: A bot no longer needs moderator status in the channel for follows to be detected.
- Kick Channel Points: Reward redemptions on Kick can now trigger Event Alerts and Trigger Studio actions, exactly like Twitch.
Native follow alerts are available on all plans. Channel point and Trigger Studio actions remain part of the Broadcast Suite.
Trigger Studio: Put Your Viewers in Control
Trigger Studio is a brand new automation panel that turns viewer activity into automatic on-screen moments. Map an event to an action and it fires by itself, with no moderator needed. Open it from the Trigger Studio button in the right sidebar, name your trigger, pick what fires it, then pick what happens on screen.
- Fires from anything: Channel Point redemptions, Bits, Subs, Gifted Subs, Raids, or Follows. Bits and gifts can require a minimum amount, so 500 bits can do something bigger than 5.
- Spin the Wheel: A redemption can spin one of your Prize Wheels on its own.
- Play a Sound: Fire any clip from your Soundboard.
- Animate an Element: Play a keyframe animation on any element you choose.
- Shake the Screen: Subtle, Medium, or Heavy. This plays in your OBS overlay only and never disturbs your dashboard.
- Pop an Image or GIF: Flash an image or GIF on the overlay at a size and duration you set.
Every trigger has a Test button so you can preview it instantly, and a small popup on your dashboard confirms each time one fires while the effect plays on your overlay.

The Starter Kit includes 1 trigger so you can try it out. The Broadcast Suite unlocks unlimited triggers.
Moderator Limits Revamped
Moderator limits have been completely updated for expired Broadcast Suite subscriptions and 7-Day Trials. Previously, reverting to the Free tier (which has a 1-moderator limit) meant the system automatically deleted any excess moderators. This proved to be a frustrating experience.
No More Deletions
Moving forward, excess moderators are no longer deleted. Instead, they are simply placed in a locked state. A red LOCKED (PRO) badge will appear next to their names in the dashboard, temporarily pausing their access and editing abilities.
Instant Restoration
Please note that only the broadcaster is required to pay for the Broadcast Suite; moderators do not need their own subscriptions. The moment a subscription is renewed or started, all locked moderators are instantly unlocked. Their exact permissions are automatically restored, completely eliminating the need to manually re-add anyone.
