Stuck on Stopping Recording and no MKV file in output folder.

This is the second time this has occured, and I am unsure as to why it happens, but after recording and clicking stop recording it gets stuck saying 'stopping recording'. Typically when this happens the file is still existing in the output file, but it just does not exist in the folder anywhere. I have attached the crash report.

I am also using an Elgato 4ks capture card to stream Switch 2 gameplay to my laptop (system info below). I am recording in MKV format

I would like to recover the video, but even if the file is unrecoverable, I would like to know what causes this issue because its starting to piss me off.

If any other info is needed, please let me know.

Thanks

OBS was unable to place part of the sound to the audio buffer, because no free RAM space left. OS manages RAM allocations, so almost nothing you can do about it. At least, you can monitor overall RAM consumption with the Task Manager and run OBS as admin (to get some advantage during memory allocation). The error itself "Unhandled exception: e" is the "ERROR_OUTOFMEMORY" or "Not enough memory resources are available to complete this operation."

ive updated my computer, cut a few memory intensive programs (tho they werent super intensive) via task manager, and updated the process priority to high in the settings. I didnt notice antything out of the ordinary in the resource monitor. Are there any other recommendations for things to do that you may have?
